Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) will recognize Mary Gerdts and Bob Gilbert at HITEC 2026, scheduled for June 15–18 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Gerdts will be inducted into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, and Gilbert will be posthumously recognized with the HFTP Award of Merit.
The International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame is HFTP’s highest level of recognition in technology. Since its establishment in 1989, 58 individuals have received this award. Gerdts will be recognized at the HITEC Tuesday Headliner session on June 16. She is the founder and CEO of POST Integrations, Inc., established in 1991 to provide payment processing services to the hospitality industry, and EboCom, LLC, a fintech company founded in 2000 that offers back-office clearing and settlement payment processing to POST’s clients. Gerdts has served in leadership roles within the Electronic Transactions Association, including as national president, and was recognized with the ETA Member of the Year award in 2004 and inducted into the ETA Hall of Fame in 2019. She received the HFTP Paragon Award in 2019.
The HFTP Award of Merit, created in 2002, recognizes individuals who have made significant technological contributions with lasting impact. The award was last presented in 2017. Gilbert, who served as president and CEO of HSMAI Americas for more than 30 years, will be honored at the HITEC Opening Headliner session on June 15. HFTP will also make an additional donation to the HSMAI Foundation in memory of Gilbert.
HITEC 2026 will feature hospitality technology education and a trade show. The event is expected to draw more than 5,900 attendees and over 370 exhibiting companies. Registration for HITEC 2026 is available.
